So just got this under the Greatest Hits title (yay for cheaperness^^) but I can't play under 2 player v_v Hooked up both controllers and all and well, the option for playing 2 isn't there, and the second controller DOES work and all... but I don'tsee anything I'm supposed to configure or anything to get it to work. My friend suggested if I had a memory card in the second spot as well, but I don't really think of that as being necessary :/ ...help please?

I'd imagine it would work automatically for games like Sonic 2 and 3.

Nope :/ I had a PC Sonic thing at one point and 3 wouldn't work on it either. Also, you'd think a racing game like Sonic... um whatever the car racing one is called^^ would have the 2 player option but it's not even highlighted :/ Wish I knew what was going on...

I have yet another question for the game (bumping...) how do you unlock the games? Does it have to do more with the chaos emaralds than actually beating the games (cause I've beat a few of the games and don't have anythign else unlocked^^) Oh and what ARE the unlockable games? So far, they just gave me The Ooze and Comic something when I started out the game. I hope Ecco is in there^^ Always wanted to play that game... And I'm still wondering about that 2nd controller thing!

Blue Sphere Play Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic 3d Blast 20 times each.
comix zone Play the Genesis games 50 times
Flicky Play Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine 30 times.
Knuckles in Sonic 2 Play Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic Spinball 20 times each.
Ristar Play Blue Sphere, Knuckles in Sonic 2, Sonic 3 and Knuckles, and Flicky 30 times each.
Sonic 3 & Knuckles Play Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles 20 times each.
The Ooze Unlock Knuckles in Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Blue Spheres, and Flicky

Yeah I quickly browsed and couldn't see anything. 20 and 30 times each?! ...do they mean ALL the way through, or just choose to play that often?

Hmm they randomly gave me The Ooze and Comix at the beginning of the game before I even bothered playing, let alone attempt to meet those requirements.

You don't have to beat them. All you really have to do is open them. Yes though, Sonic Collections' unlocks are seriously hardcore in their criteria.

Some ps2 games don't acknowledge psx controllers. It's a real pain, though since you said your controller works that's probably not the case… The only other thing I could think of would be that you might need to press a button or something on the second controller during the game's title screen to "activate" it. Though I'd doubt it since I don't remember having to do that on the gamecube version.
