Ooh, this looks like my kind of MMO. How do you actually fly the ship? I looked through the FAQ and stuff, but couldn't find how you actually controlled the thing. Is it with the mouse or can you use a joystick?

Man, and my computer was running slow with Flyff installed, this thing is gonna make it like tar. I must have it though *starts downloading*
Edit: The game has voice communication support? o.o Sweeeeeet.

If I wasn't such an active Flyff player, I'd be all over this game. It looks good (in fact, when I found out that the acrobats in flyff were cowboys, I thought about making a new character so I could call him SpaceCowboy xD It was a coincidence, though, I promise) but I have a hard enough time devoting my time to the two characters I have in that game. But if I ever get out of Flyff and my MMO craving survives, I'll join you guys xD

No idea, yet. They still haven't activated the servers!
BLAH!

I know XD I'm sitting here trying to open it over and over again hoping the servers will be up.
And no, MasterSquirrel, I don't know yet how it's controlled.
Edit: I thought the servers were supposed to be up by now? It must be a different time zone they're going by.

Well I started playing it today. It's fun, but for some reason I can't play for more tha n about 3 minutes, then it keeps saying I was disconnected and then the client shuts down. Is anyone else having problems like that?
If I can get it to work right, my character is named Koala in case someone wants to add me.

No. I was affected by the forums rollback bug, but everything's okay, now. I re-registered this morning.

Sorry to double post, but...
If you're not playing this, you're missing out.
This is the best MMO EVER!

I'll hafta try to find you. My character's name is Koala. It IS fun
A tad laggy for my tastes (at least as far as a space shooter goes) But it's not bad. And I'm not getting disconnected anymore so that's good.

I'd love to comment about it, but no one seems willing to answer my question that I posted near the beginning of this thread.
How do you control the ship? If I'm going to waste an hour and a half waiting for this thing to download, I want to know if I'll actually enjoy the major part of the game.

Oh, sorry, I didn't see your question.
You control the ship's direction with the mouse, and you mainly use the mouse for everything, but you can use the a and d keys to strafe left and right respectively, and the s key to slow down your ship. You use primary and secondary weapons with the 2 mouse buttons, and you can boost with space. Those are pretty much the main and basic controls.

Huh, so how do the battles go? I mean, when I saw ships I was visualizing dog fights, but it seems like dog fights would be kind of odd if you're controlling the ship with the mouse.

Uh, well, really it's hard to explain...
The ship is automatically moving forward. You move the mouse up, down, left, or right to turn in those directions, depending on how close the mouse is to the end of the screen.
a and d can be used to strafe, but also for dodging tricks such as the barrel roll.
You shoot your primary weapon with left click, and your secondary with right.
Those are usually bullets (primary) and missles (secondary).
The controls take a bit to get used to, but when you do, the game is really fun. especially during PVP. ^_^
This MMO RPG depends on the users skills, as well as how well built their gear is. You'll need to practice some, especially against the monsters or gears that try their best with tricks, quick thinking, and dodging tactics to get you off their tail.
If you pack on too much armor and weapons for your engine, you'll lose the ability to barrel roll, and/or boost, depending on the severity, plus, you'll run out of fuel twice as fast.
I LOVE the missions in this! They're like quests, only they're sent to you with every level you gain, so you won't have to run around and find the NPC's. The Missions give you ALOT of EXP, so levelling isn't a grind (but levelling is actually fun, anyway).
need anymore info?

I think that pretty much covers the bases. Though I'm kinda disappointed that you can't use a joystick, I think I'll download this overnight and get on sometime this weekend. I'll post when I start.

You might be able to configure it to use joystick, but really the mouse is the best due to the sensativity and preciseness. You basically have a targeting circle in front of your ship. If the mouse is in the circle, you'll go straight foward. If you move the mouse outside the circle, the ship will move in that direction, and the farther outside the circle the mouse is, the faster and sharper it will turn. If an enemy is in the targeting circle, the circle will turn red and you will automatically lock on to the enemy. That's about how fighting works.

For those who care, Bebop (The CAA Brigade) has been created.
To join, you must get to level 12 and choose the ANI nation, then look for XeonKyosuka.
You can also message me on YIM before going on so I can try to find you.

Man. :/ I had to uninstall the game today. My computer just can't handle it and it was really slowing everything down a lot. Oh well.. sorry I can't play and join the brigade. Good luck with it.
