SUPER PAPER MARIO! essentially Nintendo took out the RPG element from Paper Mario combined it with the original side scrolling adventure to make this awesome looking game! I can't wait to play this one!

They have no release date as of yet and it will supposedly come out on the GC

WOW. I'd really like to play that, and I don't even own a GameCube. That's just pretty looking. New Super Mario Bros. is good looking, but that's fantastic.

Hm... I'm not so sure I care about this. While I enjoyed both Paper Mario games quite a bit, the RPG elements were what I liked, not the style (which doesn't really matter to me). Of course, it could still be fun, but I won't be particularly motivated to play it.

If they can keep the humor and charm of the Paper Mario RPGs in place for this one (combined, of course, with some great Mario 2D gameplay), then this should be one excellent title.

I can admit Super Mario RPG was a good game, but I never liked the RPG elements of Paper Mario and Super Star Saga.

THIS is what I thought the original Paper Mario was going to be like.

Yes, this one does look rather interesting. It actually seems to keep some RPG elements (i.e., enemies take damage with the little star numbers above them).

I actually thought the same thing. When I learned it was an RPG I was like "WHAT?!"

I hope that was a joke. I am not ignorant of the Mario RPGs, I have played through them and just stopped at certain points because I just don't like the mix of Mario and RPGs. It just doesn't fit. That's my opinion, something I am entitled to. Let me add, by putting in that little message in the stars you weren't ignoring me, you were drawing attention to how much you disliked my opinion.

On a a lighter note you are IGNOREANT.

^Get it? You IGNORED me. ;)

EDIT: I wasn't trying to offend anyone in the post in any way.

Myoti, your comment to Tom was absolutely uncalled for. If it was a joke, then you should have put a smiley face next to it (even then, it's a bit out of line). Since you didn't, I imagine you were simply being callous.

This matter will be discussed by the mods.

Heck yeah. I know where more of my theoretical money is going. Paper Mario's graphical style + old-school platformer goodness? Rock rock ON.

Oh no! The RPG elements were the best part, I thought... That's the only reason I played Thousand Year Door. I'm not too fond of playing the side-scrolling games. >_< Aw, man, that stinks. It might be a good game, anyway, though...

I do believe that the Paper Mario battle system was one of the most . . . elegant I have played. It was simple enough to wrap your head around, the Action Commands were simply brilliant, and I don't remember not having fun in a battle. Also, the lack of random battles and allowing you to strike first or avoid the enemy altogether was great, and more realistic to boot.

I, however, love side-scrolling games, whether they be platformers, space shooters, or beat-'em-ups.

I fell in love with the style more than the RPG system (which wasn't bad by any means, I'm just saying the sytle was more of an impetus to play). I'll have no problem playing this game when it rolls around.

Yes, it was meant to be joking. Sorry if it was taken the wrong way.

Okay, yeah it's all good Myoti. Sorry about that.
