I saw that just the other day. Now I'm not a huge SF fan, but that was simply an amazing comeback.

holy crap! I hate it when that happens, you are about to beat your opponent, but you mess up (or they become amazing) and then beat the living daylights out of you

For a sec I thought that was DAN (pink shirt anyone?) and was suprised that he was actually good.

Ken rocks, I tend to prefer ryu due to his hadoken being more power then his ryuoken like on ken. Now Dan just sucks, totally sucks....

I'm sure this guy was just in heaven after that... And to think this sort of thing happened all the time when the arcades were packed! It's sort of sad now - that tournament spirit that inspires gamers to own like that. You just don't get the same adrenaline rush when you're playing with your friends on a LAN.

Man, I've felt like I needed to take blood pressure medicine after some clan matches on Live. But yes, the competitive spirit no longer exists, it would seem...only the desire to win, and to win no matter what the cost, even if it means going so far as to cheat.

That's part of it, but I also think that the games made nowadays don't really lend themselves to the same sort of 'gaming heroism', you know? I mean, unless you're a bigtime gaming nerd, most of those headshot clips don't mean much. But my sister got a kick out of this SF video, and she doesn't play fighters at all.
