Ya know, after listening to the trailers, I gotta say.

The voices are beter than I remember in the English Naruto.

Naruto doesn't sound like Gohan like in the first episode.

The only problem I have with this version of Naruto now is... ugh... that "Believe it!" thing.

:P

Oh no! I can actually UNDERSTAND the voices! And they're performed WELL! THE HORROR!

I can't STAND excellent voice work in video games! AAAAAAAH!

Would you feel better if it wasn't brought over at all? Hey, don't you already have an import of this?

Yeah, God forbid people should be allowed to play awesome games in their native language. I can't stand that.

Kae... have you even compared the voices from Japanese to English?

My 2 major complaints are:

1. The random grunting and groanings during the matches... they sound so awkard. Plus the "Believe it" whenever he does uzumaki naruto rendan.

2. Naruto's VA.... she should of never been hired >_>

Yeah, okay, whatever. You're just hating on it because it's English. I can't stand that.

Like you can tell the difference between good and bad Japanese voice acting anyway. What would be funny is I could talk to a few of my NATIVE JAPANESE friends and ask them how the voice acting is in these games. It would be pretty funny if they said it was horrible voice acting, wouldn't it? Because then your statements that "The Japanese version is better!" would all be destroyed. Wouldn't that suck?

I guess because some parts of the game that I feel mess up the game as a whole... I guess just the fact that its out bothers me. I actually do have other complaints, such as

1. Why release the first? Why not just release the 4th one? Then again people would be "who are these extra 20 characters? I've never seen them before,,,"

2. Some of the voices just make me ears bleed (not all of course)

Okay, then since you have the import, don't play the english release and stop whining.

Don't be hatin :P (oh the irony)

I just wish to express my dislike of what is happening. I don't know if you have something you like and enjoy and come across the same thing not up to your standards and you disliking it. But I do

I just found it kinda irritating since you have an original. I'm not even sure why I care, lol. So then, they are using the same voices that are in the anime?

Okay, so you don't like them. So what?

The English versions of Naruto is still a GREAT dub, despite your own opinions. They left much of the original in, and the voices are not that bad. You're not use to them because it's English, and yes, they're going to sound different.
That does NOT automatically make it BAD. Yes, the Japanese might be better to an extent, but how would you know? From what I've seen, you apparently don't know the language.

You have the original. We don't.
You can import. Some of us can't.
If it's a chance to play the game and has most of what was in the original, then I have no problems.

If the guy just wants to express some dislike for something, can't we just let him in peace?

Saying these things aren't going to change his mind ya know.

I want to simply let this die mmkays? But I do have some things I want to mention

1. "The English versions of Naruto is still a GREAT dub," That is your opinion as well ;)
2. I am saying it is bad because of some voices. Not all. I do believe most of Kakashi is passable, and so is Sasuke. Of Course Zabuza (steve blum hello?) And Sandaime.. well... a tad off but overall its okay.
3. Yes they did retain many of the original translations, and im greatful of that.
4. Whenever you press X in the original. He doesn't say "Believe it!" or "Dattebayo". They added that extra voice in the english game. I presume that will annoy some people.
5. "If it's a chance to play the game and has most of what was in the original, then I have no problems." With the option of the 4th game available, I could argue that it would be wiser to get that, but I won't. As having an english version could be more helpful to some people, especially if they don't have a translation guide.
6. The reason why I perfer the Japanese is not because its a better translation. But I simply like the original feeling.

Do not try to refute these. These are my opinions... (Besides #4)

I'm done bashing this game.

I can answer why they brought over the first game in one word.

CAPITALISM.

The voices are fine nad every one i have heard matches the character well especially Naruto. "Believe It!" is his trademark phrase in the dub. Everyone needs a trademark phrase.

Tom. MSP just said all that stuff was his opinion.

This has nothing to do with whether or not this is a good catch phrase. He was just pointing out that in the original game he doesn't say it. He is not bashing the catchphrase at all, he just doesn't agree with this particular usage.

I'm not saying its entirely bad either. I'm just saying some parts of the game are bad. Such as some of the voices, and some of the ways the do their "grunts and groans" while attacking.

I need to change something, Upon further inspection with games 2 and 4. Pressing X does cause naruto (and other characters) to say something. It isn't "dattebayo" though (which is the same as "believe it!") They do however say a short sentence. I do find "believe it!" to be a bad catchphrase. And I assume that saying "dattebayo" wouldn't be as... annoying in japan (just an assumption)

Could be to them. It's like Japanse fans hear "Believe it!" and go, "Oooh, that's cool!" but they hear it theirs and get annoyed. Then we're vice versa. XD

That's pretty much what I was thinking.
