Chrono Symphonic

I just found out about this a few days ago. Chrono Symphonic is a project that was initially designed to be a soundtrack in an orchestral setting for a Chrono Trigger movie (which doesn't exist). 18 different artists worked on the 25 tracks that make up the project. It was just finished and it's hosted at ocremix. Go check it out, it's amazing. Brings back the Chrono Trigger memories.

Yes indeed. It rules. Well, most of it does. Some of it lacks the punch of the original (the battle theme, for example), but most of it is excellent.

Schala's theme + lyrics = very yes.

Someone is insane. A good insane, that produces music like this and a 72 page movie script, but insane none the less. Think anyone will ever even think of actually using the moovie script?

Someone better use that script...

Because it would be the absolute greatest movie adaptation of a game ever created.

Uwe Boll would be on his knee's crying at how bad his movies are compared to the script of that CT movie alone.

The movie would be way too long. They should make that as an anime. The plot of Xenogears would work better as an anime though.

Tom, if you read the script, you'll see it certainly isn't too long.

I read some of that script and I still think an anime would be better covering every little bit and peice of the storyline including the sidequests (except for the beef jerky one, what was up with that?)

Personally I didn't like what I read of the movie script too much, but the music is pretty decent. Some tracks are really really good, some are okay and some don't really work for me. But overall I think it's good. However, they should be on the lookout for Squenix...>.>

Yeah, Square-Enix (Massive RPG company of DHOOM!) might not like this. Although it probably will fall under the general remix category and be ignored, I have seen companies prosecute stuff like this before.

The music is overall quite good, but does anyone else think it lacks punch in some places? It generally seems, how do I put it, sweeter? more elegiac? than the original music to me.

I don't think it'll matter since around 30000% of the remixes on OCRemix are from Square-Enix games anyway.

I was mostly talking about the movie script part. Squenix issued a cease and desist to a Chrono Trigger remake project last year.

I would want a company to stop making a remake of my product. Not that the company, that issued the remkae was liensed anyway.

According to my research, Monolithowns the right to Chrono Trigger since Monolith was the division of Square that developed Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, and Chrono Cross. When they went their seperate ways I believe they were called Namco.

Even so, I think Square owns the right to all the characters in Chrono trigger even though their division that made it left.

I think Xenogears was like Trigger with a more developed plot and gears.

Monolith is their own company, but I believe they work Namco on some projects or something. They did design Baten Kaitos for Namco.

No, you are slightly mixed up.

Here's how it works, from the research I've done:

-Tetsuya Takahashi, mastermind of Xenogears, left Squaresoft as said company wasn't interested in continuing the Xeno franchise. He then approached Namco, a long-time company which was founded around 1955, for funds to create Monolith Soft. Some of his former co-workers had followed him to Monolith Soft but it wasn't the entire team.

-The team that remained at Squaresoft then went on to do Final Fantasy XI...

I would love to see a CT series.

A CT anime?

Yes.

I read somewhere Square planned on amking one but they thought they had to make one for Chrono Cross too. What gave them that idea?! Chrono Cross would suck as an naime since it was a freesyle RPG.

I read somewhere else their was a brief Chrono trigger anime that only covered the Millenial Fair.
