My brother and cousin have been waiting for this game for awhile and I was wondering if there was anyone around here looking forward to it? From what I have heard, it will be pretty good! Mostly because the army made it so It should be accurate! Any thoughts or comments about this, feel free to share! God Bless!

You mean the consolized America's Army: Rise of a Soldier right? The original has been out since 2002 for free since it just comes from the Army's marketing budget anyway. Ubisoft did the console one.
I played the death out of America's Army. It's not a run and gun FPS for sure and can be very tense. Haven't played it in months though so I can't say how it is now.

Are you serious? It was nothing like that. It was very slow, the levels were huge, aiming was about actually *aiming* not point and shooting, the weapons were way more realistic, it was very easy to die, and so on.

It's also easy to die in CS (For me).
I compared CS to AA because their so alike (rounds, teams only etc) and compared to Unreal Tournament, CS is pretty much like AA.
eh, i'll go play my Battlefield 2 now...

Is it just me or does this game scream propaganda?

Do you consider military commercials, pamphlets, internet ads, recruiters at schools, propaganda? The Army, and any branch for that matter, has a certain amount it's going to spend in it's budget for marketing that goes for TV, magazine, ads etc. America's Army is in that budget which is why they're able to offer it for free. Of course US citizens are paying a certain percentage of a penny that for it through taxes.
But it's nothing that wouldn't already be used in the Army budget for a commercial or something anyway. Actually making and supporting America's Army has been alot cheaper than making/running thousands of TV commercials and has been more effective for the Army.

For some reason, I never really gave AA a shot. Maybe it was because I was addicted to playing Medal of Honor (later Call of Duty) and Wolfenstien online. -Or maybe it's because I don't really care too much for most of the guns the army is using right now. I dunno, I just couldn't get excited about it even though it was a very well made game and free.
