There wasn't a thread on this? Man, how lame.

Guitar Hero II is a vast improvement over the original in every way EXCEPT...

...the songlist.

Some of the songs on there are just crappy, unlike in Guitar Hero, in which every song was pretty decent until you got to the bonus tracks.

But there are some good ones on GHII...my personal favorites are Surrender, Message In A Bottle, Carry On Wayward Son, Sweet Child O' Mine, Jessica, Rock This Town, Less Talk More Rokk, and of course Trogdor.

Anyway, it just occurred to me why nobody's playing Guitar Hero II or talking about it much...

Final Fantasy 12 came out.

I think I'll ask for the first game for Christmas. I'm more familiar with the songs from the first game. Although it would be nice to have the two controllers . . . so I might end up getting both games bundled. However, my preference would go to the original.

Anyone else think it would be nice to be able to use your own music?

What's the big deal with this game? I've heard a lot of good things about it on CAA, but it doesn't seem too fun to me.

Rai, I would love to be able to put my own songs in there and make the note patterns myself.

Also, it might be worth it to go ahead and get the bundle. Having two controllers is a good idea because the multiplayer on GHII is fantastic.

So "Trogdor" is confirmed to be on it.
All the clips on Youtube I've seen for it involve them selecting a different song and assummed they just fit the Trogdor song in there.

It is. It's rather short, but insanely fun.

That's probably one of my favorites as well. <3

Trogdor is freakin' HARD. All those dang chords...chord-switching is a big problem for me. That and the meadlies. And squeadlies.

I just started Career Mode on Expert, and I've been three-starring my way through it. @_@ Hopefully it will help me get better. Right now I'm stuck on Hard.

I played the original for the first time last night...or, the first time that I had any idea what I was doing. It's a good thing Walmart is open 24/7...lol.
