Me and my family could really use your prayers right now. This past weekend has been hard for us...

We had to have our dog put to sleep tonight. We have had him for about 15 years. We got him when he was a small puppy. He really deteriorated the past year and a half or so and just last week he stopped walking entirely and then stopped eating. It's doubtful he would've lasted the week anyway.
He was in a lot of immense pain this past weekend so I guess it was the right thing to do... but I'll miss him.

My parents and myself are taking it really hard. He was the dog I grew up with and the first dog my parents got after they were married.

So anyway...if me and my family could receive your prayers, I would be grateful.

I'm sorry about that, I'll be praying.

I know what you mean. My second year of medical school, my dad (who's a veterinarian -- it's the hardest part of his job, and this one was one of the most wrenching he had to do) had to put to sleep our 19+ year old cat, who'd lived with us for at least eighteen years of that, and was my special friend (he always came when I called to him). I was ruined, and it was days before I slept properly. Even now, it still bugs me.
