Tell me this isn't happening....

I have a friend on a Christian Forum site that really needs some absolute serious prayer now. I'm crying so hard right now.
I'm writing this to all of you to please pray for her. Her name is Whitney. Latley she has been lost and confused. She and I were talking one night and suddenly she just told me that she was going away for a while, and thank you for being such a good friend to her. I wasn't sure why she was telling me all this, but I figured that she was maybe going on vacation to help collect her thoughts.
Well it wasn't until a little later, she accidently IMed my screen name by accident saying things like she didn't want to live anymore, and she wasn't getting anywhere in life. I was such in shock I didn't know what to say to her. She just said "Oops, wrong window, sorry" Which makes sense cause everyone does that once in a while, but this was serious. And I'm kicking myself for not doing anything about it.
I think you all know where I am going with this now.
Her mom just IMed me a few minutes ago. She commited sucide and is now in a coma and on a ventillator. She told me that the Doctors said that if she does not start breathing on her own in 5 days, they will take her off the ventillator. They say if she does make it, there is a good chance that she will be a vegetable.
I am crying right now as I write this. I feel like it is all my fault. Why didn't I see it sooner!? I could have stopped her!
Please everyone, I'm begging you all to pray for her survival. I am so upset. She needs all the help she can get.
May God be with her always...

I will pray for Whitney, and for you. It is NOT your fault.
I believe that God can reach her, even in her comatose state. No valley is too deep for God to lead someone out of... even if that means He takes her home. I will pray this does not happen now, as she is so young. I pray that she will recover, and that she will return to God. But either way, I strongly believe that God can reach her.
My heart is with you.

Maybe you should've told someone about it...But you didn't, so don't worry about it. Your friend would've commited suicide anyway. I'll pray for her.

This definitely wasn't your fault, your doing, or your responsibility. God's with her, even in this state, and you and her are both in my prayers.

Man that is sad. I'm worried not for her physical life, but her eternal destination. I will keep her in my prayers.

It is not your fault and don't you dare think that! God can turn this situation around, God can use you now more than ever! You may feel like you missed your chance, but you chance hasn't come yet. When she wakes up (I will pray that will happen) don't miss you one chance to help her. Because she was in this situation God can use her. Don't look back, look forward. Prepare for the day you speek to her again. Have faith, because she is coming home!

UPDATE:
SHE'S ALIVE AND WELL!!!
She really wasn't supposed to be online a few days ago, but she IMed me saying she was doing much better and had just come out of her coma the other day. I find it strange though. How on earth could she have recovered so quickly? Her mom told me even if she did survive she would be a vegetable.
hmmm... Either God works in wonderous way, or she set the whole thing up.. I dunno what to believe.

Just believe in God and His will. It's being done no matter what. I'm glad your friend is recovering and I will pray for her to continue to do so. Her body has been saved, I will pray for her soul to be saved as well.

Um, blufire, sorry for raining on your parade, but I don't think we've witnessed a "miracle." I do think we've witnessed something much more common-a scam.
^sigh^

May I ask why such the negative stance?
I do believe God still does "commonplace" miracles.

This
http://www.christianforums.com/showthread.php?p=992306&postcount=13 is why. Also, I think shoorajin can explain why such a recovery in this case is most likely a scam. . .

Probably can't make a verdict with this little known information. But, I'm very relieved she's alive, either way.

I'm happy that she's alive and OK
, nevertheless she needs our prayers anyway.
If this is another fraud, she is definitely in need of spiritual help (not to mention psychiatric help) because engaging in such acts (i.e. setting up elaborate frauds and playing with people's minds and emotions for personal benefit) is a sign of major problems *somewhere.*

It seemed a bit
too melodramatic...but I thought maybe it was just Dual's post...

Well I'm glad she didn't kill herself, but now I'll pray that she gets some help. Seems she really needs it, one way or another.

I'd go with the "God works in wonderful ways"... If she was your friend, why would she set such a terrible thing up? And just to scare you no less. Well, glad the prayers helped.

That's weird. I could have sworn the link from MillyFan was not there when I made my last post. Disregard it please. Well, the first sentence anyway.
